The name of my practice reflects some of my personal interests; nature, and hiking. I’ve always appreciated the “journey” and feel that my role as a therapist is to witness and support the life journey of others.
About
Jenna Korim
I have 15 years of experience in providing individual mental health therapy. My Bachelors in Psychology was obtained from SUNY Binghamton in 2007 and I received my Masters in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2009. I am a LCSWR (Licensed Clinician Social Worker, 2011) and PMHC (Perinatal Mental Health Certified, 2022).

I use approaches that blend education, an understanding of the mind-body relationship, evaluating behaviors and thoughts that might not be supportive, and exploring attachment dynamics in relationships.

I support individuals working through the following concerns:
-
Trauma in any capacity (acute, childhood, interpersonal, abuse, etc)
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Disordered eating
-
Grief & Loss
-
General life adjustment challenges

Embarking on the journey to and through parenthood comes with challenges that can often feel isolating and lonely. Whether you are preapring yourself to become pregnant, are navigating infertility, have dealt with pregnancy or early postpartum loss, had a birth experience that did not go as planned, or are finding the adjustment to pregnant and/or postpartum life difficult, therapy with a mental health professional can assist in processing these major life experiences and transitions.
Non-birthing partners are also impacted by the above experiences and are served in my practice too.
Since mental health is not the only aspect of overall health, I believe it is important to look at the whole picture, which also includes nutrition, movement, social, cultrual, and spiritual health. If needs arise that are beyond how I can support, I work to connect you with providers who can.
